Continuing the work on the base, been busy with work at home.
I take back what i said about bondo and sand...
After cleaning the column, head, various covers only the base is left.

Hello,
Couple of days ago I bought an ZX7045B1. Compared to the rest of the machines I saw on this forum it has an automatic quill downfeed with tapping function and a base casting a bit wider...
boring head instead of 4th axis?
This kind of design would be good for a plasma / water cutter where there arent large cutting forces. This will bend expecialy in the X axis (when cutting along the longer axis of the blue chassis)....
how many parts a day/week/month do you need made?
i think you will have better luck with 3 phase AC motor VFD's especialy if you have to use all 1kw of that power.
the picture you posted.... in that configuration you can't place a straight edge to measure parallelism because there is no room between the pulleys.
If you shim the motor by lets say 20mm...
sleeve it or redo.. it wont help with centricity of shaft to pulley if the bore is worn.
You can shim the motor equaly so you can fit the straight edge inside to measure whats not parallel.
...
Im in a process of doing something similar, why did you select drivers and psu first and then you look for motors?
You should select the motors first and then size the rest of electronics to the...
There's always worst case scenario.
Power available at lowest possible RPM , gives you torque on the spindle. That torque on the smallest possible endmill that can transmit that cutting force...
Drill bits never produce round holes, they are always in a shape of a triangle with large radius on its points.
More cutting edges would help, you could try drilling with an endmill here. Thin...
much better...

This is not stiff, compared to the rest of the construction.
Either reduce the lever or widen the part in the axis of the ballscrew.
Every endmill manufacturer has calculation formulas on their site or in catalogue.
just one example

You need to calculate required power prior to machining or you are just going to...
The cut specs that you listed should require 1858W of power, that is 1858*1,36=2,526 HP
And that's with a new endmill no wonder your spindle is stalling.
Make yourself a excel spreadsheet from...
