No, there is a inline AC filter right along side the computer box, try pluging the computer into a standard 110 plug in (you will have to do some wiring) ,I'll have to check how much I have...

At one time I had a bad ac filter that acted the same way . I do have a extra 386 computer board that I might be willing to sell,lets cross that bridge when you get to it.
