it depends,on allsorts of factors.you want a manual lathe or cnc? new or used?

7.5" isnt a that big so i would suguest a hobby lathe,best bet it google,then you can make your own mind up.hope...

is there formula to work out the number of teeth in a belt

i choose a 3mm belt pitch
15 teeth in small pulley
18 teeth in large pulley
distance is approx 252mm
