Can anyone vectorize this? I have tried several options and nothing has worked very well. I wonder if someone else has the secret sauce to do it. 428470

You need to find larger pictures. Try someone at that unit maybe or the wikipage for that unit.
I am having trouble with autozero, it was working fine but after new drivers and breakout board it won't work. Well it worked for a bit but now won't move the Z down. So I tried this script, it moves...
Anyone use the AM882 drives? I just installed them and they seem to run fine except the motor gets very hot just while idling (not moving). I am only running it at 24V as my 60V supply isn't here...
Is there a chart or a comparison on the different machines? I don't see what the differences are and what advantages one has over the other. For the 4x4 and the evolution and the Hybrid etc etc..
...
Ya its only 4" across I think it was. I'll try the sealer and see how it goes. I'll also try doing a slower cut and see what I get. Thanks.
Still not quite cutting right with too many tool marks and stuff left over in the grooves after V cutting.
I dont know how to fix it.
Cant seem get my pic.posted....
So I put an allen key in the chuck and it seemed to be fine when I rotated it around. I also put a board across the backnof the y gantry to stiffen it some. So I put in my new 60 deg v bit and cut...
Anyone still here??
Excellent suggestions. Thats what I was looking for. Thank you all. Ill let you know how I make out.
Guys , I am cutting up a few things and what comes out is ok but it leaves behind a LOT of fuzzies and tool marks and other undesirable stuff. What I was wondering how do you check to make sure your...
Ok thanks ill look in there!
I have a tb6560 board that is modified. Mach3. I used the auto zero script off the forums, but it does it even if I manually zero as well.
Is there a tool length somewhere? I looked around but...
Maybe you can help me as well. When I set my Z to zero it seems ok. But most times, when the machine starts to run the job it then cuts in the air. Why does it do that? What should I look for?
Hey C1, I want to ask how would you modify your basket weave coat rack for a small piece? I would like to make a key hanger or a small kids coat rack. Only 2 ft or less.
Could you tell me how...
Do you have that licence plate dxf file. I would like to cut one as well please.
Thanks Devastator, I'll get some bits. I need a new end mill as it burned up in the maple i cut. Oops.
Sinnsvak I drew it in Aspire by importing a picture and having aspire copy the vectors. It...
Hey I also went into the vectors and looked closely. I edited it for a long time for straight lines and no bumps etc. Cut it again and I think it's almost perfect! !! Another lesson learned! !
Yes I forgot about that Gerry. What would be a good way to determine if your machine is cutting properly? Almost like a test pattern, then I could check to see how it looks.
I also need to get...
I am checking it all. Another point is, I used an Amana engraving bit for a V carve tool path. Wow did it take a long time. Is that right or did I screw that up? It gave a very nice sharp cut but...
When you say finish pass. It was a V carve so it just did it's thing. Is there a way to do a V carve with a finish pass?
Another question. I just cut another piece and it is much better, but it still has some issues. I had a square the bit to the table but I think I still need some alignment along the X axis. Do you...
You folks are correct!! Ger21 nailed it. I realized later that I had a toolpath for a 90 and used a 60 bit. What do ya know. I'll leave this here so others that might make the same mistake can find...
I just a small project to see how things are going on the new machine. It seems not bad but it is just not quite right. It doesn't cut the way the preview says it should with straight edges etc.....
Ok, I get it, thanks so much. I'll have to build one as well. That raises another question (I know)...but do you need to secure the screw on both side or just a clamp or nut on the inside up against...
Thanks for all the great info so far. I am just putting the Y and Z together now. But I was wondering about your bearing that the X axis sits in. You say they can move around so you can align things....
Another question. I see the lead screw bearing blocks are 2.4 inches but the motor mounts are 2.85. Everything in your photo looks flush. How does that work??
Mine are larger. 240028
Ya thanks Pippin. I am now cutting up some stuff. Before I do I want to ask something. On the YZ plate I know what the four vertical holes in the middle are, they are the nut mount for the Y axis....
Finally building my new CNC with linear supported rails as you did. I was wondering , do you need to grease those bearings at some point?? Is that what the small allen key hole is for in the side of...
Thanks! I am going to try this in MDF first and see how I do. I am not the machinist that you are and I really worry about getting things lined up. But it's time get going and conquer obstacles as I...
