I dont think you can use subprograms when dripfeeding - it has to be one program. This is my experiance with a 18I-MB control
Looks very good. Did you do the electronics yourself ? Lets see some stuff you made perhaps a video. Congratulations on your build.
I have used a permanent magnet for face milling lots of times. It is very do'abel. A electro
permanent magnet can be used for milling on 5 sides. The side towards the magnet has to have good...
When you make a metric thread the depth is always the same as the pitch. Depth is on the dia.

I think you got to have the center spindel in the middel of the movement. The offset from the gantry to center spindel is the reason for the gantry at the end of the table.

You can make youre own covers.
Is it worth it?????

Sorry for being late to provide screendump. Better late than never ;-)
I have put it in a word doc.
If you look at the picture you see the definition of X-Y-Z before this part was blank.
Hows...
yes i got the same warning. I talk to my EC service person. He told me that i have to define the machine graphicly in the postprocesser. It dosent ned to be accurate just the axis (in my case X-Y-Z)....
Make a new CPL or choose from one of the standard CPL.
You really dont change the orientation of the product but changing the way you look at it. IOW you change/choose the CPL (same as zeropoint)

I don´t think there is a manual besides the help files in the program.

You have to use "Matrix mode" Use controller option for subprograms. Chose how many repeats in X and Y and the distance in X and Y.
The G-code depends on the PP but a standard fanuc wil give you...
Right click the icon and choose close. Remember to restart it after the opdate or else EC will not start.

I think you need to close down the - Edgecls - It starts with the computer and it manages your licens.

I think it is an option you can tick on in the postprocessor. We use subs everyday with EC. Main and sub programs are in 1 NC file. When it is send to the control it is alle there.

We make a lot of part with M12 threads in and they get case hardened. After hardening the hole will easy strip a bolt of the thread. IMO you get "a significant increase in strength"

I dont think the line numbers are needed. We use the line number at toolchange for easy locating. Then the number is equal to the toolnumber. Besides we are using line numbers for jumping around the...
Use boundries. It will not go outside the boundries. So you have your tab between 2 or more set of boundries.

E-drawing from SW will do it for you if the solid file gives you permission to measure. The creator of the solid have several options when saving the solid.

Look for suitebel machines before they hit the scrapyard. I contacted a CNC sales company. They recive used machines when they sell new ones. They had a Agie sink EDM. The controlls where bad and the...

Make sure that the tool can ramp . Very few facemills can. Helical milling works very well IMO a round insert is god because the edges are strong. GET RID OF THE CHIPS or they'll ruin your tool.

As i said i didnt draw it but it saved in version 2007

Here you go. I didnt draw this myself just designed it. I only have it as a solidworks part. It needs 3 bearings OD 25MM ID 10MM and it fits a rail OD 25MM.
Remember to change the zip extension to...
I made this one. There is not 120 degrees between bearings only 110 as i leave room at the bottom for support of the rail. The slots is so i can mill this in 1 setup. Overenginered but hey every 14...
The angel of a modular drill insert is 140 degrees. The point is entering the 2. piece before the OD is leaving the 1. piece. Then there is no coin at all. It is drilled away.
Is it not ???
Bent
Use a modular drill. Like "KSEM Modular Drills" from kennametal. The point is full carbide and is exchangeabel You can find this type of drill with almost every tool manufactorer.
