I do have a 1996 15xt that I am currently using but it has a baldor drive with rigid tapping. Can I swap the 1010 boards in these machines to see if that's the problem without hurting anything?

It does not have an encoder on top of the motor. It has a hall effect switch that I have replaced. I was assuming this did the same as an encoder. Is that correct?

The zero memory did solve most of the issues. The problem im having now is with the spindle. It tries to turn but jerks and turns a bit but will not start. It turns freely. It has a mits freqrol z300...

So if I want to finish the floor and be able to adjust the width of the pocket I need to do a pocket, pocket, and profile in strategy?

There is no option for system comp. or machine comp. in V28 pocket, atleast in the build I have anyway. Wonder why they did away with that? I'm sure I can add a profile to the cam tree if I was...

In simulation the finish tool only does the profile of the pocket. I only have one of these to do so I'm a little hesitant on just letting it fly. Thanks for your response Rob.
