Hey karrelsj... sorry, both Tormachs are now sold and happily making chips at their new homes :)
Machine is sold... Thanks for looking :)
jid2 - I recently purchased a VF4SS... i was planning on keeping this machine and using it for small stuff, etc... but i hadn't turned it on since...
obo of course... if you have a serious cash offer, lets talk! I'd like to move this quick ;)
I'm putting up my other Tormach PCNC 1100 Series 3 for sale... This machine is about 2 years old, and has been running small aluminum parts on a near daily basis up until last month when i took it...
I have my other PCNC1100 that is likely going to be for sale soon... Now that my new Haas is here, i don't see me actually using the ol' Tormach very much anymore like i was envisioning in my head,...
Mine is sold now btw... original buyer came through, and he has it now. Thanks all for the inquiries! :)
Sigh... Still available!
Willing to make a GREAT deal for quick sale!
Sale pending on my machine... i'll update if the guy shows up to pay for it.
Check out the auction for pictures and details... Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks!

Oh, ok... NOT the same keyboard, but the same theory... i actually did a search for the keyboard and see now that NewEgg.com is actually selling them...
Silicone Industrial Waterproof USB Rack...
Wow... much less than mine was! lol! Where did you find that price at? I really like these keyboards, and i'd like to pick up a spare for my other machine...
After looking at what other machines with better paint jobs have sold for on eBay and around here in the past, i'm going to revise my sale price to $10,500obo in order to maybe get a faster sale... ...

smokediver... sorry about the timing... lol! I am located about 25 minutes south of Asheville. I have tooling and vises, but i also have another Tormach that i need to hang onto some of the stuff...
If anyone is looking still, i have a 1yr +/- year old Series 3 for sale with TTS (with a small collection of tool holders), Power Drawbar, and 5" GMT or Tormach vises available with it... Located in...

Fwiw, on my machine, changing the M998 to something like G0 Z4 did not do any thing to resolve the problem.... It still 'stalled' and z fell when it went to do that.
No resolve here yet.... Just...
I'd have to ditto the anti-sieze suggestion... If you hit the power drawbar and your tools sorta "pops"... Which is actually the collet de-wedging basically then it's likely sticking before its able...
Well I ordered this cutter a couple days ago to have a go myself with it :) Hasn't gotten here yet, but I'm anxious.
Now that you mention the lower rpm being better, I have noticed that when I...
I'm amazed at the lack of rpm drop... It seems to cut effortlessly compared to mine. What belt setting are you on? I'm thinking of switching to the lower speed pulleys to gain more torque back.
Well spoke to Dan...
And it's at least something they are working on...
For the time being, I'm just removing the M998 code from the line, and using a G0 code to get the tool out of the way...
So far I've done everything they've asked....
Reloaded Mach
Remove tool path on screen
Adjust/check Z gib
And this thing still does this.
Was there ever an absolute resolution to this?
My 1100 S3 just started doing this same thing....it's only a month old...
