Joeaverage, I think you summarized it quite well. I think a lot of people like the idea of a "do-everything Santa machine", where you put in a picture and your part magically gets made.
But the...
I think it would handle a 200 pound trunnion ok. It's rated for 500 pounds.
'm trying to follow this guidence, remap limits and door switch to the pins that are designated for Probe and Toolchange Input.
I'm studying the LinuxCNC HAL guide. I'm just not fully sure how to...
How are you configuring door and limit switches in your HAL files? I'm stuck.
On PathPilot lathes use multiple frequencies on one input pin (freq2pin) to monitor multiple functions. That...
Great, thanks! Huge help! As far as I can tell, the "300" is the number of pulses per rev.
Can't find anything with that part number. There's similar ones out there.
Is there any more...
Can someone share the maker and model number of their spindle encoder?
Also, do they turn at 1:1 ratio with the spindle?

Years ago, Brianbonedoc made the "PathPilot on Non-Tormach Wikia"
It seems to be the only complete guide for Non-Tormach machines.
But now it's gone. Who might have saved a copy?

Wow, thanks Jordan! That's great!

The brake is adjustable.
You can stand on the table and reach the Z servo above the head. You shouldn't be able to turn it by hand when the power is off
I just saw one on ebay! Did you ever get tool changer air cylinder adjusted right?
Tony has a lot of manuals for your machine. https://store.lathes.co.uk/bridgeport
Did you get the manuals you need?
I'm uploading pics of my 412 V parameters. It has the TNC 355 controller
Spindle is 6000 rpm, 7.5 hp
Let me know if you need better pictures, or if these help you?
By the way, could you maybe do me a favor, and measure the length of the toolholder retention knobs, if you get a chance?
The Heidenhain TNC 151 , 355, 360 and 2500 controls the programming is pretty much the same .[/QUOTE]
Ok good, I'll have them send the manual for the Interact 412 with the 2500 control.
And...
Keep looking for the manuals on ebay plus i know there is a website that sells digital copies.
You want a bt40 pull stud with a 45 degree head.
I have had 2 of these machines for over 25 years...
Actually I shouldn't say that. I got a lot of great info from people about moving the mill!
But with my other questions: Nobody seems to know where I can get a service manual
And nobody seems...
I just got a 412 v. It doesn't seem like there is many people offering help on these mills.
Can anyone help me find maintenance manuals? Or digital copies of the programming manual? I have a Bridgeport Interact 412v.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Did you figure this out? I have a 412v, I don't know what pull studs to use.
Quality of those motors seems really good. The drives look seem really good too. I took the cover off, the boards look good.
I use an Ethernet smoothstepper, and a smothstepper BOB from CNC4PC. I don't recall which one.
I've used a generic Sainsmart board from amazon, it seems to do the job too.
I want to tell you guys thanks for the help! The move went well, all in all. Lots of hang-ups, but we got everything worked out in the end!
