Just heard from SEM.. this is what they have to say.. so I am still looking

@sparky. Thanks for your input.. I am reading your thread. The motors are slightly different as I think the braking wires are not there.... But I have emailed CNCdrive for the cost and shipping...
The servos are SEM MT30H4-2.5 rated with Cont Stall torque of 2.1NM TENV Max RPM 2500 V110 and Pulse amps 25. I couldn't get any data on the motors. Can I use the servos with a servo drive by not...
well slow has its advantages :) ... how many passes for the finished design. ! btw.. give me a ring if you can!
looking good
Lovely pics khalid and by the looks of it Umar had a wonderful time too! :) was the bhabhi left holding the camera all the time while you two had all the fun of the rides ? :)
Thank you both for your replys..
Perhaps 70V is much over the top.. realistically I am looking at enough of a voltage increase which would give me the rated max torque within a 5ms time period. I...
Can the gecko drives be used for non cnc use.. I have a requirement where the servo is used to provide a resistance to a load, the resistance offered by the servo will always be equal to the load...
Can we over drive servos the way we over drive steppers i.e. higher than rated voltage supply with current control. Does that have any adverse affect on the servo motors.
e.g. I have a 500W servo...
Khalid Ganjoo .. you just look like umar in that pic :).. guess what I am gonna ask next ;)
cool software, even better of an effort!!!!.. will talk to you later tonight!!!!!
Please have a look at the following H bridge servo driver to perform a particular function. Input is only from the left side of the bridge and the op amp runs the right side with an opposite signal....
Khalidddddddddd
Its been a while and looking at your thread I have missed a lot!!!!.. lots of brilliant work.. leaves me 'gob smacked'.. absolutely beautiful..!!!! well if you can find a way to...
makes absolute sense, reducing the workload on the axis with the most overheads would certainly increase performance. well done khalid.
No worries Khalid, just keep up the good work ! :) it is a visual orgasm looking at the work and progress you are making with your set up! :)
Looks very good... what are you planning for the other end!... you will need something which has adjustability to tighten the workpiece between the two centres!
btw.. looks like the mdf catches...
I guess, I must finish the 4th axis, so that we can move ahead with the designing :)
WOW.. you know my address.. I would like to have two of these please ;)
well done.. it looks the biz...

Love it.. keep up the designing, I will give you all the candles you want for your holders ;) let me know what colours !!!!!
11 out of 10 for a simple yet very effective solution. Putting it in my machine tomorrow. Will let you know the outcome.
cheers
Very Impressive work Khalid ! :)
All you need next is to make a rotary axis to do nice round legs for tables and stuff ;)
One of Many: the plasma can handle the diameter no problem. I have a 400amp chinese plasma unit. but I have never cut alu with plasma.
fpworks: no waterjet in the whole province let alone the...
with the exchange rate at about 2usd per squid .. i would say the hobbycnc is the best bet available. comes to 45 odd squids and few shells.......... including p&p
p.s. will drive only unipolar...
Hi all,
I need to make a couple of alu covers for a tank. The thickness of the cover is 75 mm and the diameter of the tank cover is 1000mm and 1500mm respectively.
What is the best possible way...
Not being able to get any commercial products for tinning can someone suggest the names of the chemicals used for tinning.. I am currently using the old fashioned way of using the soldering iron to...
Well that helps as well.. I have just found out that 11200 psi will cut.. as to WHAT I am still trying to find out.. but 2mm of brass can be cut with 800 bars.. so there seems to be some hope in this...
hi all,
hope the thread is not dead. i have just acquired a heskel 800 bar (11200 psi) multistage pump and accompanying pipeworks which are rated for 55000 psi. the idea of a waterjet has been...
