I am looking for along spindle direction tolerances, not runout or diametrical tolerances. I assume a very small contribution for tool wear. For example in a inch long part, what would be the overall...

I am wondering what type tolerance can be held in the X direction of swiss turning machine. I understand they do hand-off from one spindle to the other, does this cause an additional tolerance? The...
I have a new HAAS TP1p and I can't figure out how to display a g55 position after I zero set it. It seems totally worthless to have these different work positions if I can't display them to see if I...
thanks, I left .015 per side. I was thinking higher feed rate. 500 rpm for something 1 inch ? Is 400 fpm right?

I bought a 1 inch HSS reamer to make a fairly deep pair of holes in a part. I tried it but it wants to chatter pretty bad. Am I feeding it to slow? The machinist hanbook says a FPM of 400. Seems...
Yes I did that. Hope I didn't mess up tapping.
I was hoping the new version would have posting issues at vetted. Especially with a current machine,, Apparently NOT

Once again, BobCam is screwing up and writing a g95 as part of a drill canned cycle. G95 changes the feed rate to inches per rev. No idea how to fix the terrible software.

I just took delivery of HAAS TM-1P and have started making my posts from BobCAM version 27. The feed rates seem extremly high espcially for drilling. The rate is so high that an alarm goes off that...

Thanks. I found it. Took it apart and found the housing had melted a little and was keeping it from engaging. I put it back in but still won't go.
Thanks, I'll have to order one.
I have exactly the same issue. Where was the contactor than enables the drives. Was is labeled? My machine doesn't have a contactor that looks like that?? Thank you. Tom Keyes
I am one man shop with a small under 24" CNC machine center. I do mostly small fixture work under 24" stuff. Not much production. I am looking for a lathe in the 5-10K range for mostly small to mid...
My Bridgeport Interact 412X will not boot today. It appears not to have 24 volts, but I can't find the 24V supply. I have checked all the circuit breakers and they all have continuity and work...
I recently purchased an operating Bridgeport Intreract 412X VMC with Heidenhain 2500b controller. It came with a very old windows 98 PC and Bridgport's EZmill software. I can't for the life of me...
