There must be a setting in MACH4 or an M / G code that I do not know, that will activade/deactivade this behaviour.
those 2.5 radius arcs are lead in and lead outs.
This is how the NC-Code looks in the preview:
477346
And while machining MACH4 adds these arcs (in Blue):
477348
Hello Forum,
i guess there must be an on/off switch for this in MACH4 but I don't know where.
This code should generate a rectangle:
(60.3, 65.3)
G90
G91.1
G00 X37.5 Y42.2
M3
G01 X37.5...
Hi,
you can also try FILOU-MX2
Hi Gary,
I would recommend FILOU NC, but last time I did that, I was called a spammer.
To me the website looks english, but it is your call! Good luck
No I know that it is available in english, as I use it. Just write them an email or look at FILOU is your partner for CAD / CAM / CNC - FILOU
Have a look at FILOU NC16, it is an easy to learn 2,5D CAD/CAM Software.
Hello RJengineering,
if you are talking about 2.5D milling then FILOU NC16 might be just what you are looking for. Have a look for yourself on www.filou-nc.com
ger21 is right, it is the wrong IJ mode, it is how arcs are interpreted by your control. That is usualy an easy fix but I don't know how in fastcam
If you are looking for professional 2.5D CAM just have a look at www.filou-nc.com , it is not browser based but offers a permanent license at a price lower than what others charge you anual.
Try Filou NC16 it has a great DXF import. www.filou-nc.com
This is basic 2,5D milling. Don't do 2,5D milling in 3D, just because it sounds cool and up to date.
The result wont be realy good. For example there are no circles in 3D everything is divided...
That is verry easy with DeskProto 6.1
See how it works DeskProto Lithophane videos: machining a translucent relief
As far as I know there is no really good free software out there. Everything that is really good, helpfull and not a pain in the a.. has a price.
I would recomend to start of with a basic FILOU NC...
Yes it can be used independently and it is sold seperatly.
Try FILOU NC12 Hobby Version, it is fully equipped and has very good price. Besides if you should run into any trouble, the people at FILOU will help you.
FILOU: FILOU NC12
Try FILOU NC12, it has some CAD functions and is verry strong in CAM, You can get a highly discounted student Version.
I would recomend Moment of Inspiration V3 for the modeling and DeskProto for the creation of NC code. In my opinion it is the most easiest way to get into it.
Have a look at FILOU NC12 it is a professional CAM-Software with some CAD functions, but they offer a hobby version for private use.
This is some basic diffrence between the way 3D and 2.5D works. It is a little to much to explain it all the way, but a simple example. In 3D a circle will be divided into verry verry little short...
For 2D CAD try Draftsight(similar to autocad but free) or for 2D and 3D try MoI (Moment of Inspiration) which has a real good price.
For CAM I would recomend NC12 from FILOU (which is for 2.5D)...
If you are looking for 2,5D I would recommend NC12 from FILOU it is a professional CAM software but it is verry intuitive and easy to learn. Best thing for you is that they offer a hobby version,...
Try FILOU NC12 for 2,5D or DeskProto for 3D both programms work great and are really affordable and have no anual fee.
Filou's NC12 is easy to use and affordable.
Sadly I do not know a free to use software, but FILOU NC is capable of importing 2D dxf files and it starts at about 170$
Nope, I'm sorry the link I have was only good for a few weeks after purchase, so the only thing I can do is email you the file with the 30 day key.
Yea thats true, not really the best translation. Yes tey sell it on that page, I think it starts at about 180$, but you need to be logged in to download. I forgot that it was a bit of a struggle to...
As long as you do not have freeform surfaces, I would recomend to stay away from 3D. Everybody wants 3D, but the truth is that most 3D programs wont do a good job in 2,5D work. Which as you said is...
For 2.5D try FILOU NC12
