Of course it's Ridged, without ridges it's called reaming!

In earlier versions you could break a line and place a point at the end of the segment on the break, you could then choose the points as tab positions
I cant see why that shouldn't work in later...
I have an X7 that has been running daily for the last 3 years, I went for the Siemens control package for the 3 year on site warranty on the Siemens components.
It's been, and continues to be,...
You can't copy, you need to Activate, that will have to involve communication with them.
All the historic Post Processors have been deleted, I have a lead on a Lathe license for V25 but without a starting point for the Siemens Lathe Post Processor I'm not sure I have the enthusiasm to...
The best support that could have been provided would have been not to delete all the old Post processors, most were shonky but provided a decent starting point, I smell a push to force earlier...
Nice one Al!
Version is key, what version were your files created in?
Virtualisation is probably the way to go, if I'm ever presented with a similar issue with V25 I'll be going that route.
Google search CamBam Stick Fonts, a handy set of single line fonts free to download.
I'm working on an elegant way to make single line fonts which look right from True Type Fonts, it is a bit of a...
Yeah, heard this before but all you got were the needy users and you didn't attract enough helpers and your own staff were disinterested in helping so this Forum right here remained the best place to...
Usually the result of broken geometry or not having "use Curves" turned on.
[QUOTE=machinehop5;2403442]...you do know there is a App called LatheEditPost.exe in BC. its a little tricky but, you can make what ever PP you need.
Yes,
Thanks, the reason I'd like to start...
Thanks for those, still looking for a Siemens Lathe post if anyone has one?
Hi Guys,
Anyone have the Siemens lathe posts from the old PP library? They're all crap but I could do with a starting point to edit rather than writing from scratch.
I should have systematically...
Al is spot on here, if your program runs OK a couple of times then there is noting wrong with the code, it's your controller that's causing the issue.
I hope all you fixtures, fittings and newbies too had a great Christmas and have a great New Year!
File Bloat issue sorted in this version?
No, turn on Debug mode and post sample code with the type of machining features you are interested in, Debug will tell you which line of the Post Processor generates each line of code.
It is an example of nothing more than that your Controller is not exactly the same, you have made no point and asked no question here.
HAAS understand the functionality of their controller...
Then you will know if the controller requires the dwell parameter to be omitted or if it requires a hard coded zero in that position as you will have written the code which interprets G-Code and runs...
That's controller specific, refer to your controller manufacturer's documentation for a list of canned cycles and what they are/do, the required parameters, descriptions of exactly what they are/do...
BCC Version?
I only ask because with 25- 29 I may be able to help, after that you'll need the PP documentation from BobCAD , if they publish any, plus that for your controller to tell you the order...
That's just a display of licensing status, clicking it won't start it ;-)
Yes, but it did say on the handle "Not for use as a pry bar or chisel" :D
You can use the G Code commenter here - G-Code Commenter
to tell you what most of your code is doing -
T2 M06 (14...
It's a steep old learning curve but CAM doesn't produce G Code, CAM produces a Move List, your Post Processor is used to interpret the move list and generate G Code.
Start by explaining what you...
You can manually edit and add in a stop command at the end of the code from the first setup.
Alternatively post your two setups as separate programs.
It's a shame you didn't have V28, I'd be interested in a license for that version.
Don't beat yourself up for not doing the things which were required, everyone occasionally lets things slide.
Just make the effort and get it installed and running.
I'm still running V25, it does all all the things I need it to do.
I've tried V30 but I can't cope with the file bloat and so having to copy all your finished geometry to a new file to get...
