Dave, this is 1.9.2.

Finally got my router working under PathPilot, just a couple changes to make to the tool change routines to suit my machine by so far so good. I am a happy man at this point. Oh, and this is via...
Looking promising! I see you used the Lathe ini, any luck with the Mill ini?
Cheers Guys, thanks for the info. I'll check out the Novakon forum as well.
So, you guys successfully running PathPilot, do you see it being able to run a CNC router instead of a mill? I am thinking of grabbing both mesa cards and PP but at around AUD$100 for pathpilot I...
handlewanker. Just thinking along the lines you are but what about an aquarium air pump? Not sure of the pressure they put out but something along those lines could replace the compressor side of...
There looks to be no Z axis movement as we know it (straight up and down) so they tilt the Z instead giving them a z axis of sorts. At least thats the way I see it :)
Hi James
The p/port is fine - I tested it by moving all my slamsteppers around and they all work everywhere aside from this one board.
Hi Roman
1. Can be discounted, the order of...
Hi John
Thanks for that. I thought I would discount the pp port first up and attached the board to other pin combos and the problem travels with the board. So I then donned my magnifier and had a...
Hi James
All that has been checked 1000 times. It is not that it goes in the wrong direction, it that press to go left and it will go right, press to go left again and it will go left. It will...
My machine is down at the moment due to a weird problem with one of my SLAmstepper controllers and I am hoping someone (James?) can point me in the right direction.
What happened was a motor cable...
Thanks Peter, still working my way through the MB-02. Will get these wired and tested in the next few days.
Cheers
Bruce
Hi Richie
Can I ask where you got the files for this array of mounts? I only have the switch one from around page 2 of the thread and am looking for others like in your image...
Cheers
Bruce
Sorry to be a pain but I am still struggling a little with the wiring side. I cut out my mounts today so am ready to start assembly. On my new machine I will be using a MB-02V6 breakout board from...
Thats is so cool! Any more details? Can't afford a laser so this could be the next best thing! :)
Cheers
Thanks guys for all you replies, I completely forgot about lubricant to cut the stone! I attribute that to the excitement of having the stuff. Gerry is right, I have an MDF machine so coolant flowing...
We had our kitchen replaced today and had granite benchtops installed. The guys left me 2 offcuts that I want to make into small tables. Being offcuts the edges are messy and not straight so I had...
Yea, I found that with Australis, they will cut to length but you have to buy in 6 meter lengths. I am ringing Bosch Rexroth today to get some pricing from them to compare to my 8020 quote.
Cheers
Welcome to downunder!
8020 is available here from our local supplier in Sydney's west. For reference some metric pricing I got recently is:
25-5010 - .0803c / mm
25-2525 - .0177c / mm
25-5050...
Interesting concept Jason (?). I have thought of doing the same myself with a build to test out the feasibility of using ali extrusion and machine sizing. Will be watching your thread with interest....
Damn, I was sure I changed them to climb cut, was wondering why the edges didn't look any different. I only learnt about climb vs conventional a little while ago and wanted to try out the difference...
Hi Louie
Great checklist, thanks!
Cutting: I am cutting the outers and inners with a climb cut and I never ever thought of the impact of mirroring parts and cut direction. I was trying to...
Thats a great idea. I'll go one step further and do each operation as a separate file as well.
Hmmm leadscrew compensation... I have read about that but never did anything about it. Might have to...
Hi Chris
Thanks for doing all that, I really appreciate it. Bummer of sorts that you found that out though :) I was sort of hoping it was a processor issue.
My machine is probably not the most...
Thanks Chris, gcode attached. Had to zip it due to invalid file message. This was produced by CamBam 0.98L
My sanity is at stake here :)

Ok, checked everything out, made a few adjustments and cut the panel out again. Got exactly the same result. I now have 2 matching pairs of parts but the pairs are different from each other! They...
Hmmm, thanks Walky. Will check that out before firing up LinuxCNC
I need a little guidance on where to start looking for the solution to this problem...
I started to cut out my machines replacement and found a problem with the finished result. The file was to...
I have been doing that lately, found the scale command in Draftsight a few weeks ago. Nightmare doing that if manually building something, no probs for a CNC machine to cut things like 232.667mm :)
