I just bought a Asus Q550 laptop with a 1.8ghz I7 processor. I'm wondering if I should have got the Lenovo Y510p with the 2.40ghs I7?
I do not play games. I use it for CAD, CAM, email, word...
Going tube building a torch break away, looking for ideas.
I have 22 19mm cam followers left from a job that never happened. I've listed them in the classifieds and on ebay for less than I paid for them, and no bites. Any suggestions on other places to try...
Your second email ([email protected]) kicked back when I try to email you. Your first email address worked.
Is this RFQ still open?
Would you be open to having them cut on a waterjet?
Can someone convert this mountain range into a dxf? I only need the mountain range, not the trees. I'm willing to pay for your time.

Sorry if this has been asked, I didnt read through all 15 pages. Where did you order your rail from and is hardened or unhardened?
Running out of ideas I mocked up my hand torch on the table. Seems like its cutting fine with it. I need to figure out to get the hand torch to fire off the CPC to run a better test, but sure seems...
Forgot, the torch is modified so I do not have to turn the machine on/off every time I change consumables. Just tied the wires together to keep to circuit closed. Yes, I understand the risks with...
Filter system, 65A @ 30ipm. On all 3 pieces it never gouged the plate, but tried to a number of times. Kind of just spits back.
Filter system, 85A @ 40ipm. Also confirmed, there is 120psi going to the cutter. Drops to 112 when it first fires and when flowing is around 118-120.
Ok did some tests and here are the pictures. I also uninstalled and reinstalled sheetcam and mach, also checked the steps and the motors are tuned dead on.
No filters, 25' 3/8" air hose right from...
Didnt think about the steps being off, I'll check that.
I think the pressure drop is because of the filter system. When this problem started we were using a 1/2" hose right from the compressor...
One of the reasons I'm thinking moisture is some how making it by the filter system is every once in awhile the consumables will short. Also, the arc seems very unstable and inconsistent. We have a...
I'll try uploading the video to another website. The only thing I can think of is some how there's moisture getting through the filter system. I'm thinking about buying a refrigerant cooler to cool...
Here is a quick video of it https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/CkiSZNCdnuTIs3MEKwYfndMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink
Well we are still fighting the divots and the main issue of having to cut at reduced feedrate to avoid it from just gouging the plate. Here is what we have tried to far:
Add a large air condenser...

We've always had the ground clamped to the slats without issues. But I did move the clamp to the plate just to check that as well as check the twist connection at the machine. No change with the...
Jim,
I just got busy and forgot to report back. I did lower the water level to about 3.5" below the plate with no change in the divots. I understand 65 amps will give a better edge finish and less...
Ok still having the divots in the cut edge issue, but had cut around 15 sheets of 1/2" that way. Now today still with the edge issue, it has started to not cut completely through the material in...
Thanks for the info, I will check it out. Currently it's cutting perfect once I got the directions right.
Yep it was cutting CCW. I do not understand why sometime SC puts the cut path in different directions. I've always checked the "reverse" box when cutting holes, etc. For this piece I had to check...
Powermax 85
85 Amps
New tip/electrode
35-40 ipm
CandCNC THC (Also tried it with thc off)
Water was right at the bottom of the plate. Can't lower it because we need to keep the plate as cool as...
What causes these cut marks on the bottom of the cut? I only have this issue with 3/8 and thicker.
I'm thinking the water table maybe causing the arc to bounce around. But I do not see other...
Please send info for quoting.

Thanks
These brackets I am cutting have alignment tabs that are roughtly .25x.375 and the edge quality is real poor. Is is possable to have SC or Mach slow down in these areas? My cut settings are 45A...
