ok I figured it out through trial and error.
The radius using other methods was over 12,000 which I guess it just didnt like.
Had to make a midway point between the ends and use the spline tool.

Hello,
I am using Solidworks 2020 and im having trouble drawing a curved line.
So I have two points 30" apart... instead of a straight line between them, I want an arc with just a tiny deviation...
I am using an HVAC blower from an old furnace run through an 'oneida dust deputy 2.5' collector.
It simply plugs into a 120v outlet and I dont want to turn it on and off manually every time.
My...
Actually after thinking about it more.... thats exactly what I want:
A clear Y-Adapter with an 80mm through hole that can clamp at the top for a good grip on the spindle.
The Y offshoot needs to...
I gotta say, all of those aspects are important to me.
I'm trying to find one right now for my 80mm spindle with a 2.5" shop-vac hose fitting.
Most of what I have found on ebay are giant...
Got it done with rough milling and contour milling op's... seems odd that facemill will create the pathing I generally need, but only offset 90deg, which is not correct as it has to cut 100% tool...
I simply cannot get a camworks facemill operation to cut between two walls.
The bottom and top sides (X+/-) are open, but the left and right (Y+/-) are not.
What I am trying to do is lead-in from...
Yes, my larger endmills do not have flutes which cut to the center, I use a spiral lead-in to deal with this.
But how does checking/unchecking that option affect/change the operations?
I am not...
When setting up an operation and choosing a tool, in the 'tool dimensions' there is a 'center cutting' checkbox option...
What does that do?
I always checkmark that for square endmills, but...
aha, under config->safeZ setup, my 'stop button safe height' was at 0.
I may give mach4 a try though, I really dont like the simulation or display layout of mach3
Mach3
I havent tried mach4 yet
When I use 'feed hold', 'stop' or 'reset', the machining stops right where it is and turns off the spindle... this is all good except I would like it to also retract the spindle height to a safe...
I bought the shars, just arrived, looks good except for an error on the back plate... almost looks like a machine crash
Fits the 1.5" square stock with plenty of base clearance and good clamping...
I am going to replace my 3-jaw chuck with a 4-jaw on my 4th axis cnc.
It does not turn fast, max rotational speed is probably 120rpm at best.
I cut both square and round stock... wood, plexi,...
nevermind, found the auto-trace add-in
problem solved
I have a 1:1 scale image (jpg) of a part surface that I need to mill.
Is there a way to import the image in solidworks to use as a stencil?
Is there a way in solidworks to import an image to use as a stencil?
I cannot find the spec sheet for my 3-jaw chuck, just havent had any luck identifying the brand logo stamped on it.
But I believe I can figure out the bolt pattern, might just put it on my...
Maybe a 3-bolt pattern to 4-bolt adapter?
Camworks coord system is pretty much identical to SolidCam.
I'm guessing you are looking at the default alignment rather than creating a new coord system.
I recommend starting with some youtube...
I'm wondering if there is a way to slow down just the entry cut (first pass)... or better yet, anytime the tool is cutting more than a specific % of the diameter.
For example, I'm doing a simple...
I'm showing MT2 to be tapered and too small diameter.
Cannot use that at all... I need a 1" dia shaft with a .3" keyway
is there a shaft like that available with the proper threading for...
I saw something that leads me to believe this is possibly a K11 chuck and that I need a K12 chuck?
The biggest difference I notice is the thickness, the jaws go right to the edge of the backside......
so ones like this ebay 4-jaw just use the 4 bolt holes on the back to mount?
I figure if that one mounts with the 4-bolt holes on the back, I can simply make a 4-bolt adapter for my existing 3-bolt...
I am having a heck of a time figuring out anything about the chuck on my 4th axis rotary... it's 4" in diameter, no id#'s on it, just a chinese logo.
I'd like to change it out to a 4-jaw, but dont...
So it looks like it simply screws on to a shaft... No set screws or keyways?
I tried forcing it to unscrew, but the gear system moves too.
Theres nothing to pry against... there is an allen screw...
Hey it was as simple as that!
I cant find a 4-Jaw that has that 3-bolt pattern though.
I purchased it from SaleCNC.com in 2011 and just emailed them.

The worm gear is a NMRV050
I came across a silly video of a guy making custom fittings for an NMRV040 so he could take off tire lugnuts with a hand drill lol
Anyways I learned about the...
Looks like an incomplete website, hardly anything works
That is the problem I mentioned earlier and posted pics of the only identifying mark, a chinese logo with 2x characters which I cannot interpret.. not a clue of the manufacturer.
Can you post links...
