Well I'm still cleaning out years of metal chips and going through everything. I got my new limit switches. I'm going to end up making a new wiring harness for the X switches as the old wires...
Just to show you what I'm up against, I have attached some pictures of the limit switches. I've ordered all new switches and will have to start making up mounting plates.
In the positive...
From my research, I believe milltronics uses one limit switch to tell the machine that it is near home and then there is a further one incase the software limits go haywire and that one errors out...
Thank you for the replies.
Im waiting to pull that board out, I'm afraid I might do more harm than good atm. It is the z axis board.
I found my axis issues while cleaning. The Y limit switch in...
I will get some more pictures as well as trace the wires and look for any potential shorts.
Against better judgement I did fire up the machine. No smoke, yet. Everything worked and even the x axis...
COmatoes thank you for your reply. I will check with a multimeter once I get it under power.
I was looking at some more of the wiring and tidying things up when I came across another area of...
I think you may very well be right about the plugs being for external memory. I will look into what style connector they are.
Thank you.

I will try to keep it short and sweet for now, I just bought a 1997 Partner 1 serial number 3391. I bought it only seeing videos of it running before they pulled it out of the shop almost a couple...
I will see if there's a part number on it. I'm going to test the actual resistance of it too.
I reconnected that resistor however it did not fix or change anything. I'm going to track down an ohm meter here and test it as well as some other connections. It is labeled as a 10000ohm resistor.
That's awesome. I will replace and or fix the connection and see what happens. That would be awesome if that was the fix. Thanks.
Okay I will replace it and see if anything changes. The computer boots up fine however it's obvious the resistor needs replacing either way. Any specific safety measures that need to be taken...
Just an update. I was able to block the head from coming down which got rid of the one error however 449 still comes up not allowing me to move any axes.
Thank you for the reply. When I quit working on it yesterday I actually made a wooden fixture to hold the head up however I have not had time to play with it today. I will try this and look into the...
Hello,
-I'm trying to buy a mill however it has a Z axis problem. I have used several pointers from other posts to try to pinpoint the problem. When I reset the drives right away the Z-axis drops...
