    Saving Sttings

Just purchased a TM-1. The owner told me that every time the machine is powered on, you need to go to settings 51 and change it. This is the setting to keep from having to use the hand held hold to run button. Is there no way to make the machine save this setting so it doesn't need to be changed every time the machine is powered up?

No, it must be reset every time. Pretty soon it will become automatic and will not bother you anymore.

It is a routine that becomes automatic, takes me about 3-4 seconds each morning. Just be thankful that you have an older machine, on newer machines it is not even available!

The idea of that button is a good one, but the implemention not so much. Cut off the switch and rewire with a normal closed button ( somewhat difficult to source). Now you will have a junior remote pendant with E STOP capability. More intuitive. Paint it red.
