tsugami be 20 v "setting Z axis to Zero on sub"
a little background,
been machining for roughly 6 years, but this is my first time with the tsugami be20-v. My company bought one, brought a guy in for 3 hours to train me, its been 3 months running the same parts with little to no problems, till now.
I've been trying to set Z to Zero on the main and sub spindle but it seem to not be working here is what I'm doing
-MDI G28 u0 x0 t0101
-Hand feed material pass cutter
-MDI spindle on
-Manually face material (this is where I want my Z 0)
-Go into geometry offset
-soft key Z>0>MEASURE
I do the same thing for the sub but it never seem to be where it needs to be
Am I missing something here?
any help will and forever be greatly appreciated thank you
Re: tsugami be 20 v "setting Z axis to Zero on sub"
you need to run the head of your program so the machine establishes z0.
i had an ss so the code may be a little different. but i will give it a shot
your going to have a stroke check code in my case a g300 and then your going to have a work shift code (g150) that tells the machine it is at z0 or whatever value you put there
the g150 z value will depend on whether you have a right or left hand cutoff installed.
as for your sub same deal run the program head it will zero return the machine. after that what i would do was call the tool in mdi(with the rapid crippled down to 25%) that would center my tool in x2 and y2(you don't have a y2) and then handle forward to touch the part to the tool.
as always proceed slowly and carefully and read the book. and if all else fails call rem sales they have many great applications guys on staff.
