I have a Tormach 8" fourth, which has a 90:1 ratio, but I'm in the process of modding a small 3" table with an arduino/stepper setup. It has a 36:1 ratio, but I'm thinking if I build it with a cable connector that match's the 1100, I could use it on the mill also. Since it only weighs about 10 lbs, sometimes that would be preferable to the big table.
Thanks

I know this is likely a dead thread... but how is the scale determined? It doesn't make any sense to me.the step count for the harmonic drive isn't 141.6666666 steps per revolution.
My 4th axis is a 6:1 reduction from amazon. I have it wired up and I can get it to jog, but the scale isn't right.
Re: 4th axis gear ratio ?
This is the advice I was given back in 2017.
"At the end of your .ini file in configs/tormach_mill you'll find the [AXIS_3] section. The number of pulses per degree is set by the SCALE parameter:
SCALE = 500.0
You'll need to change this by the factor 36/90 which gives you a new value of 200."
I hope it helps.
