PUMA 240 LATHE
2006 daewoo puma 240 fanuc 21ITB wondering how people are using the tool set button on the control panel? the book says you can change a parameter so it will work for picking up the part length(Z) anybody doing this? if so does it use the work shift and not the G54-G59? rite now I use the button for setting tools when I'm not using the Q setter, indicating drills ect.it will set the machine position number(G53) in the geometry page regardless if there is a offset called up or not when using the X0 measure on the soft screen. I guess what I'm trying to say is there a way to pick up the Z0 work shift with this button like a mori seiki lathe?

Re: PUMA 240 LATHE
I call up the tool G54 T0101 then move to where I want to set Z zero. You have to have to Z G54 number highlighted then type Z0 measure and boom it changes the G54 work shift to where your sitting at when you do this. If I understand what you are asking.

Re: PUMA 240 LATHE
I guess I misunderstood your question. My 240 is a newer Doosan I don't think I have that "tool set" button. I'll look again today.
