BOSCH SERVO DRIVES 050881 Tweaking on BRIDGEPORT VMC INTERACT 308

Hi,
Have a VMC 308 bridgeport interact which recently was added to my hotbed of headaches :-)
Found the machine runs very slow at rapids and the maximum speeds were tuned down in the machine parameters to 3000 :-( goes like grandma !!!!
Increasing these gives a gross positioning error. I looked at the motors and they seem to be in very good shape, not done much work and I suspect the pots were messed
about. Would somebody have the correct setting procedures of the pots? I suspect messing up because all axis are slowed down. anyone has some help which can make my day brighter?
