Edit button script
Any help appreciated. I'm trying to configure a touch probe. It's wired and configured . My understanding is to go to the operator menu and select Edit Button Script. Click on the flashing auto zero and then load the code into the script window. I understand this. The problem is I do not have an Edit Button Script . The only thing close is is VB script. But no flashing buttons to select. I'm not sure what version I have as a friend loaded it for me. If needed I will find out and post. If not any thoughts. Thanks Keith

Re: Edit button script
Sounds like you have a really old version of Mach3, maybe 2. something?
With that version, you needed to use the Screen3 screen designer to add scripts to buttons.

Re: Edit button script
Thanks Gerry
Is that something straight forward to do? I haven't been to the shop to check the version yet. Or is there another way to add a script to a button. Thanks Keith

Re: Edit button script
It shouldn't be that difficult, but I've never used that older screen designer.
Your other option is to switch to a newer version of Mach3.

Re: Edit button script
With the old screen designer, I found editing was no problem, but ADDING stuff soon hit the wall somewhere (more memory needed?) and the whole screenset would not work properly any more.
ALWAYS backup the .set file (or .lset for lathe) before attempting to modify it. Along the way you will often hit the mysterious limit(s).
Never had problems modifying exist button sizes, or anything else, but just one too many additional buttons added, corrupts in many unexpected ways.
