removing X axis bearing/handle
How do I remove the X bearing from the saddle of a mini lathe (7x12)
I need the slide to move just a tiny bit further out (toward the operator) and the part highlighted in red stops the slide. I figure if I can add a little space between the saddle and that bearing part it will work.
I found pictures of other mini lathe were that part is screwed in, on mine there are no screws or anything. Wondering it I should just try to pull it out, or maybe it is threaded in ?
any and all help appreciated...

Re: removing X axis bearing/handle
The graduated dial should be able to slide off the end of the shaft - it is held on by a friction fit (spring) and gentlepersuasion will make it come off. Behind it you will find 2 socket cap screws (3mm hex) hidden in deep holes.
