SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
So here's the problem:
I have 50 same parts on one table side by side, I used transform function on solidcam - it transformed all operations as expected, but the problem is that I need to machine parts individually without jumping each operations to different parts, what I expect is that every part machining operations would be done for one part, and just then jump to next part. At this moment for example first operation is drilling holes - it drills on all 50 parts.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
This can be addressed by using sub-routines (or "procs" in SolidCAM speak) and setting up your post accordingly. Not something I have ever done so I can't be of much more use I'm afraid.
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Well at this moment solution is to modify g-code using sub-routines of one part complete operations and just offset it with rapid move and G92 X0 Y0, but I dont think it is the way to do this... I was reading about translate-transform function properties meniu, anyone know how to access to that settings?

Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Hi,
All you need to do is select all operations you want to transform and only then select the option "transform".
You may use matrix option, which seems to be the best for your case.

Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Hi, thank you for reply,
I did this earlyer, and did it again now - it process one operation on all transformed parts, what I need is to process all selected operations on one at the time, of all transformed parts. Any ideas?
Like on your example, you have two contours, what transforming does is it makes first contour on all 50 parts, and just then goes to contour nr.2 on all parts.
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Depending on your Solidcam version, that might be correct. Try upgrading your Solidcam to the latest version available.
I have just tried in mine and it did all operations before moving to another part. I have the latest version of Solidcam.
Another thing that you could be doing wrong is selecting individual operations to transform.
Again, if you have the Solidcam updated, select all operations in first place and then click on transform.
Hope it helps.
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
What version are you using?

Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Laramaviper if you do all the operations with single tool solidcam will transform all the operation together coz its same tool . That's nothing to do with the version !
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Upgrading to latest version solved problems, thank you for help!
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Is it worked ? Are you using single tool ? How many tools you have in the program ?
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
Yes upgrading worked. Single tool on workpiece and program.
Re: SolidCam; Transform; How to transform operations for individual parts
I thought you wanted to do all the operations with different tools in one part first . Any way the new version is much better .
