How do I flag a tool number in the program so that it will count in Table A of the tool wear page labeled( number of work pieces)? Do I need to replace the T0202 With something else? Any Ideas are welcome The manual is not much help!!

its not clear what you want to do?
do you mean tool life management? so that after X-number of work pieces the tool changes to the next spare tool?
I recall using commands like TG=01 OG=01 instead of T010101 on an old LC20 OSP5000L-G to use tools assigned to Groups rather than actual physical tool numbers.
i.e. I could assign multiple tools to a specific group that I could set via the tool data pages.
I could set different ways that each tool could expire, i.e. Cut Time, Tool Wear (established via probe results), or QTY of parts machined.
TG= Tool Group
OG= Offset Group
Maybe this will help?
Brian.
yes that is tool life management and would work if he has the TLM option.
That is only useful on a multi-task machine with ATC
I think we need to see a screen shot of the screen he's talking about and/or his machine model to know for sure what he wants.
It can be incremented using VTLCN if I remember right.
VTLCN[1]=VTLCN[1]+1
