HeeksCNC doing CRAZY stuff...
Ok so i thought i had it figured out, imported a DXF file, generated all the operations and toolpaths, looked great, ran the simulation, perfect... Loaded the gcode into Mach3 and got this crazy path info...

Why is it doing this????? It puts all these crazy circles over the part in the background.

Hi,
its just that one program uses absolute I/J coordinates and the other relative ones.
You can change this in Mach3 somewhere.

Re: HeeksCNC doing CRAZY stuff...
Hmm... I spent about three hours trying to get the toolpaths to show up right in Mach3, if there is a way i sure can't find it.
I would love to get HeeksCNC working right but at this point i'm starting to consider saving up for MeshCam unless i can get it work flawless every time. Heeks is just a ton of work to get even the simplest part to process into gcode so far.... Unless i'm just doing it wrong?
Re: HeeksCNC doing CRAZY stuff...
Now i'm gonna have to download and check out estlcam.... LOL
Why is there SOOOO many CAM programs... Its mind boggling.
Re: HeeksCNC doing CRAZY stuff...
I had this happen to me as well. I changed I J to incremental under General Config screen in Mach 3. Re-loaded the g-code and the crazy circles were gone.
Re: HeeksCNC doing CRAZY stuff...
I gave up on Heeks, seemed like a neat program but for the stuff i do MeshCAM is so much easier. Open file, process, send to machine. Maybe ten mins to prep for making a part at the most. I'm thinking MeshCAM is going to be the way to go on this.
