Mori Seiki SL2 turret won't unclamp

It started out like this:

The machine started to trip the main switch once the machine was all powered up. We found there were rats in the machine and some cables were bit by them but the cables were not completely eaten. We fixed them but the main power still sw trips but now just a few minutes after powering up ONLY the main sw. I then started to switch the switches and trip the contactors inside so I could isolate the fault but with everything off inside it kept tripping. Now the main SW has one small red button, not sure what it does. But now after looking for the problem it does not trip anymore but now the turret does not unclamp, I try a manual turret change and I can hear a click but does not move, the turret led turns off, does not turn on again until I hit the reset button, but it does not index any tool.
Any ideas?
