Harbor Freight 7x10 conversion help
Hello,
A few years ago I purchased a Harbor Freight 7x10 lathe with the intention of converting it to CNC operation. Things got busy and I never got around to it. I am now an empty nester and have time to work on some projects, but when I went to CNC Fusion it appears that they no longer sell a kit for doing the conversion. Unfortunately, all of the searches I have performed since then eventually lead to dead links. Does anyone know where a conversion kit for the lathe can be found? I don't need motors or electronics, but I do need mounting plates since I currently have no way of making those myself.
Thank You!

Here's a conversion I did that might give you some ideas. It was a very simple conversion due to using a thk linear axis and ballscrew purchased from ebay. All the aluminum mounting plates were just cut from flat bar and with drilled/tapped holes. I used a bandsaw and drill press but there is no reason why it couldn't be done with a hacksaw and hand drill. Good luck.
