Material (drops) storage/ organization
How are you storing and organizing your drops or shorts. Anything over 36" is pretty easy to organize on horizontal stock racks, but what about the 6" piece of something that you can get at least one more good part out of? 5 gallon buckets are not proving too easy to sort through.
Re: Material (drops) storage/ organization
Bigger diameter goes on the shelf smaller diameter goes into tool/fastener drawers.
Re: Material (drops) storage/ organization
I was thinking about trying a "pigeon hole" type rack that sorted by length. up to 6" in one hole 7-12" in another, 12-18" etc.
Re: Material (drops) storage/ organization
Shelves and racks have always been good storage solutions. If you factor in organization, then drawers are definitely what I would go for because they neatly store even your tiniest materials like fasteners. Since drawers can be pulled out easily, that means they also allow easy retrieval anytime. Labelling would also help you locate the items faster and easier so you can consider that too. The shelves can be built according to the dimensions you require so there is no issue with that.
