Acramatic 850/turning center - MASTER START REQUIRED
The machine has been running nicely for years.
In the middle of a part it halted.
Upon restart everything came up but we have the message at the bottom of the display, "MASTER START REQUIRED".
Of course we have pushed Master Start buttom, no response.
We have scoured the manuals, no help that we can decipher.
The display is functional, everything seems to have power.
What should I do next?
Thanks -

Im having the same issue, but I just bought the machine. Hydraulics are on, and chip conveyor will turn on, but thats as far as I can get. No axis movement. No one knows how to reset this alarm?????
Re: Acramatic 850/turning center - MASTER START REQUIRED
My problem was finally diagnosed as a bad relay.

Figures. Thought I was purchasing a running machine. Thanks for the response.
Re: Acramatic 850/turning center - MASTER START REQUIRED
Do you happen to remember which relay it was?
Re: Acramatic 850/turning center - MASTER START REQUIRED
You need to get into the I/O and see what inputs are on and which ones are off. You should have an input for machine power on that tells the control that the machine is powered up. This will take the MASTER START REQUIRED message off. Look in the electrical prints for this input. Also look at the axis over travel switches inputs. Do you have 24VDC for the I/O??? Look in the control reference manual for the PROGRAM WARE section in the SERVICE screen.

Re: Acramatic 850/turning center - MASTER START REQUIRED
No sir it is not. I found the relay that goes to the Master start, and swapped it out, and that didnt work. I havent had a chance to do anything else with it. I did notice the lights above the service switches are signaling to check the 5v on the analog power supply, but I havent tried to find that power supply yet. I did go into the service screen, and could see that it is showing the "master start" as OFF. I just havent had time to take it any further. Fortunately, were busy, but unfortunately Im short handed. With the machines Ive added, its causing me to have to run machines. lol
Thanks for asking though.
