85 mori sl-2h and mastercam issues (new to this machine with this software and lost)

I'm working on an old mori seki sl-2h lathe and using mastercam x4 to do a full radius front end of a part. The post is made for a positive x value machine so it post to all positive x and I have to change the positive x to negative x for the machine which programs in negative x. Im using G03 and the radius seems to want to run inverted, least thats what looks like will happen. Do I need to change my r value to a negative in order to get the center point in the proper quadrant?

Try setting up the tool to point upwards & select the geometry on the bottom half off the part. Make sure you set the tool home position to a negative X.

First of all, thanks for your response. So, a negative x machine would swap g02 and g03? I see what you are saying and it makes perfect sense. So just do the drawing in the proper quadrant with tool face up so the spindle rotates in the correct direction with the tool upside down on the other side?

I'm not familiar with your machine so I don't know if the spindle will be going in the correct direction. It'll be a lot easier to swap M03 & M04 than change every X dimension from neg to pos & pos to neg. I'm pretty sure swapping spindle direction is an easy edit in the post.
Is the turret on this machine above or below centerline?

Just reverse the axis on the machine to make it a X+ machine. See my response on your post in the Mori forum.

Your idea here worked. I just had to tell it upper left yet draw in lower left. Thanks big time. I didnt get to try it until saturday. I work a side job at a buddies shop over the weekend and this is one of his machines. His guy up and quit so for me this is a nice gig. At my main shop Im the plant manager but I hate it and miss working on things. This is my first plunge back into cnc in 4 years and here in the main shop its either mazotrol or gibbscam so going into a different shop, learning different machine with a different system is very exciting.

Glad it worked for you. Underthetire may have a better solution for the long term. Any programs written after his solution will be compatible with other/ future machines in the shop.
