Re: Limit switches problem
Is the switch at 0? Which direction does it home?
Re: Limit switches problem
What do you mean with 0?
It homes down left, so X- to Y+ :)
Re: Limit switches problem
If you enter Softmax of 10 for the Y axis, that would be 10mm from the left side.
If the Home switch is on the left, then you want to set the SoftMin to 10. The Softmax would be the extent of your axis, like the 250 in your screenshot.
Re: Limit switches problem
Just to ask, you say Y axis left side, but the Y axis is the one with two motors, that holds X and Z axis?
Y= in/out X=left/right Z= up/down?
But yeah, it homes back left, and when I drive the X axis left it stops (soft limit) at 521mm
But the Y axis is the wrong way... If i set soft max to 250 it will let me move the axis past the end stop that it homes to, and if i set it to -250 it won't stop when I jog it 250mm away from the end stop.
Re: Limit switches problem
If you home to the positive end of the Y axis, then you should use a Home Offset of 250, or whatever the Y max is.
As it is now, your SoftMax would be -10 and the SoftMin would be -250.
Using a HomeOffset of 250, SoftMin would be 10, and SoftMax would be 240.
These numbers need to be adjusted based on the actual length of the axis.
