Fuji Frenic 5000 M2S

Had some sort of overload this morning which appears to have fried a resistor on the inverter. The resistor in question is behind the main circuit board of the inverter (white, rectangular shape w/ two terminals). One side conncects to a transformer? w/ one positive and one negative terminal, the other side connects to a relay (pictures are attached).

Does anyone know what may have caused this to occur? Machine sat for two days, then we powered up (shop was very humid due to rain). Machine powered up ok with an inverter alarm light on the front panel. We powered off at the breaker, then back on. The second time we tried is when the resistor popped audibly and visually. The inverter is for our live tool motor on the machine (Miyano-BND-34S).

Called a Fuji repair company in L.A. and they said to take out the entire inverter unit and send it to them for testing. Would rather try to fix before going that route. Is there a source for the resistor, or a way to fix? Also, if the inverter is bad, what are my options for replacement?
