I ran the test piece for the RT using 1" dia. 6061. It is a simple thing involving just a facing, two turning ops, a chamfer, and finally a parting. No problems.

I'm totally satisfied. Laying out aprox. $2100 wasn't easy, but since I'll be 79 on my next b-day, I figured I'm saving money because if I keep spending money this way I won't have to pay a lawyer to make a will :)
