Can Mach compensate for unsquare machine
My CNC router is a little desktop unit from K2. It was a prototype.
The parts I'm cutting deviate from square a bit x/y. It isn't a huge amount and I have looked at the machine to see if I can adjust it somehow but all the screws are caps that have counter-bored holes. There really is no wiggle room. Although I plan on looking at it more closely.
But I was thought, maybe Mach3 can compensate? Is there a way to input a value into Mach3 to compensate for a machine that isn't perfectly square?
I did some googling on this and came up with a mention of home switches but I don't have any.
What I was hoping for was an ability to tell Mach3 that my X is moving 91.2-degrees (just for example) to my Y, so that Mach3 would compensate during machining.
Am I dreaming? I looked around in the Mach3 settings and didn't find anything but don't know if I was looking in the right spot.

Post some images of the machine and what is out of square. Maybe one of us will come up with a solution to fix the hardware issue.

The parts deviate "a bit" well that seems measurable.
When you move the x-axis and the y-axis in one direction and then back to the starting point, you can compensate in Mach3 for that.
If you have backlash, why don't you work on eliminating that first.
Then you should work on squaring up your x and y by making some mechanical changes.

You can use the Formula's to compensate, but they don't get applied in all situations (like jogging), so they can sometimes cause issues when the axis will "jump" into the corrected position.

Ok thank you gentlemen. I will post pics of the machine when I decipher where the error lies. I haven't delved into it that much yet, just figured any software adjustments should be considered, too.
