Bridgeport Interact 4 with Heidenhain TNC150 programming from PC
Hello All,
I am a total newbie to all this stuff, but I was wondering if any of you had any luck with programming the Bridgeport Interact 4 from a PC? It has a Heidenhain TNC150 controller. Now I know this is pretty ancient (or at least it is to me), but it does have what looks like some kind of serial or parallel port on the side. According to the manual this is for a tape reader or something, but programming it by hand is a right pain, and if you can send G-code or something to it from some software on my laptop, that would be much (much) easier.
Anyway, I hope this isn't a duplicate of a post that is already on here, and if any of you have an idea on how I could get my laptop talking to the mill, that would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Rob

try down loading tnc remo from heidenhain , you will have to set machine and remo up to talk to each other but this is a good tool for transferring programs

Hi, if its the same as ours then thats the port that plugs into the computer, you will need to buy the cable to suit, the port you need is hard to find on the new computers but you can buy a usb connector, and we have used software called cncedit to Send the programs to the machine but there is various pieces of software that can be used.
Hope this helps
