TNC 155 spindle motor error

I just purchased a machine (Värnamo R-150) with heidenhain TNC 155 controller. Everytime i start the machine i get "PC: error 19" which according to the manual means spindle selection.

is this software or hardware based error? might it have something to do with machine constants or is it a faulty motor driver?

the driver for the spindle motor is a siemens simoreg. i removed the cover and there are a few LED on, see pictures.

i have no idea which are suppose to be on or off. i switched the phases on the outlet to the machine and one of the LED went off, "netz ueberw."

It sounds as though your machine is having communication issues.

What other components are in this system including drives, power supplies, etc.?

Which unit is displaying the fault or error code?

Where did you purchase this machine, locally or over seas? If it was overseas was it set up for appropriate frequency and voltage for your location?

There is a possibility your problem could be as simple as a loose or disconnected cable so be sure to thoroughly check them.

hi. the machine has a gearbox between the horizontal and vertical spindle nose and i had accidentally switched it over to the horizontal without setting it up in the TNC and it has a saftey feature for it.
