New Laser Cutter/ENgraver 150w - Engraving Advice
Hi Guys,
I have just purchased my first laser cutter 150w from China. (Reci laser Tube)
So far it seem excellent and im startign to learn the basics for cutting/engraving. I have a question about engraving though.
I have found that a good Power and Speed for some black anodised metal I have tested is about 'Speed 600 Power 25' . I have noticed though when going at about a power of 25% or higher when engraving the laser makes an occasional 'popping/arking' type noise for split seconds. Is this normal?
It seems to engrave fine, and when im going at much higher powers when cutting things it all seems fine. I just wanted to find out if the popping noise is something normal when engraving at a higher percentage and certain speed? It does not seem to happen at a power of 20% for example.
Any advice is much appreciated :)
Thanks.

Hey,there is sound-- laser hit on the material surface if power is somehow bigger when engraving. You'd better confirm where this noise come from.If you not sure, show it by you tube sure here many people in this forum can help and tell you.
You sure it is not arc/shark inside tube if yes, check both positive and negative wiring connection after all power turned off, or this tube need to be change it is a quality problem.
