Calcomp DesingMate 3036 questions

Hi!

I got a used Calcomp DesingMate 3036 that I want to convert into a cutting plotter.

Sadly, after turning it on, the pen slide gives a millimeter jerk, then the error light glows, while the online light doesn't. The buttons don't have any effect.

I don't have any manual, so I don't have the slightest idea what to do.

Also, which size of teflon cutting strip would I need for this plotter?
