Manual Tool Change - Dolphin CAM doesn't seem to follow settings
Hi
I'm having issues with getting the Z height to follow the settings I've entered in the "Tool Change" dialog box with Partmaster 15 and Mach4.
It seems that whatever I enter in the "Tool Change" settings it doesn't seem to be followed and the Z axis does not allow enough clearance to change the tool.
This is a manual change situation.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Phil

Hello Phil,
Could you send me the PartMaster CNC file file and tell me which post you are using ?
Some posts have "hardwired" values

Re: Manual Tool Change - Dolphin CAM doesn't seem to follow settings
Hi,
For the benefit of the forum, here is the reply to this question ......
The post is using the CLEARPLANE to position the tool if the tool is not already at the Toolchange position…
if ( $Z ne $ZTLOAD ) then
#N " " (_G00) (_G28) $ZTLOAD:ZAXIS eob
#N " " (_G49) EOB
Endif
#N " " (_G49) eob
#N " " $TOOLNO:TOOL (_M06) " ( " $JOBTEXT " )" eob
#N " " (_G00) (_G43) $CLEARP:ZAXIS $TLCNO:TLC eob
So you can either modify the post ….. #N " " (_G00) (_G43) $ZTLOAD:ZAXIS $TLCNO:TLC eob
Or set the Clearplane to the required value ….
