4th Axis question

I have a question in regards to the 4th axis operation on a PCNC 1100. When I use the 4th axis set at “vertical axis A” so the work piece is parallel to the XY axis it seems to be operating in degrees/min. I have a large sprocket that I am machining and I am supposed to be cutting at 12 ipm. This should take about 2 hours but with the rotary table it is taking 12 hours. I believe it is running at 12 degrees per minute. I have tried sprut cam 8 and 9 and it seems that 8 is a little faster at around 8 hours but seems very rough with a lot of jerky movements. The same part in Sprutcam 9 is a lot smoother but takes almost 12 hours. Any suggestions?
