I don't understand where is my problem.
here is a file using Two surfaces.
I only need to do a fillet on the two surface or surface to plan.
If I set a fillet size of 4mm it give me a correct result but if I set a Value more Than 6mm it could crash mastercam and in better case give me a partial fillet.
where is my miss-understanding !?

Surfaces can be temperamental
it's much easier do do it on the solid, and then create surfaces from new solid, is that available ?
You are using the X5 educational version (.EMCX-5) , so you should have "solids"
For filleting or chamfering, a rule of thumb is to work from the larger size to the smallest
Eg --take a 50mm cube and filet 1 edge R20, and an intersecting edge with R5. Yuo should get get a solution.
But do it the other way round may give errors, especially on complicated corners
Filleting and chamfering , quite often foul up on surfaces, I think it depends on "node points" or features that are used to define the surface/s
if your going to 3d machine don't waste time filleting the solid. just use a ball endmill with a smaller radius. use verify to see simulation. creating fillets on solids or surfaces blows. just avoid all together.:)Quote:

As I 'am studiing mastercam (in solo mode), I could not be a superman :)
- ok, when I arrive to the solid chapter I will redo this exercice
using solids
- suppposed to do a circle filet simply ?! .. and not to be able to crash ;)
by the way I have done this exercice using several step with simplier surfacies.

Alot of people think Mastercam crashes on them they dont read the little yellow dialog box that is asking them to pick a certain entity or do something. Hit the esc key if you think it is locking up.
