What's the difference between the 1010-1 and 1010-4?
Hello,
I have to replace a controller card on my 93 88hs. It currently has a 1010-4 card. Unless I misread the interchange chart (always a possibility) either would work in my mill. The 1010-1 is cheaper but I don't want to lose functionality. Could you tell me the difference between the 1010-1 and the 1010-4?
Thanks, Shepard

oops, I think I did misread the interchange chart. I have a 1400-4 CPU so 1010-1 won't work.

From 1992 up to the early part of 1994 fadal used a 1400-4 card with -3 software. You can use a 1010-4 up to a 1010-6 but not a 1010-1.

Thank you. Other than the jumper is there anything I need to do to swap in the new card? Seems I remember something about parameters being stored on cards... Ill look it up but if you know off the top of your head I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
