Why would you need to extrude a 2D shape into a 3D shape in Bobcad. If your doing a pocket or profile then just use the 2D shape to make them, you shouldn't need a 3D part unless it has to have a draft angle.
That being said, I'm using Bobcad version 25 (build 1182) and have no issue doing the extrude curve to imported Autocad geometry. I have Autocad 2012, but we save our DWG files as Autocad 2000 files. Your lines will come into Bobcad in whatever color they are in the DXF/DWG Autocad file, except if using the black screen in Autocad then white lines become black in Bobcad.

One reason is so you can have a visual model of your part.I do it all the time.
