Difference between the G98 and G99 in canned cycle?

here i am giving two example of fanuc milling centre

example 1. G1 G98 G84 Z-19. R4. F1.25;


example 2. G1 G99 G84 Z-19. R4. F1.125;

What is the function of R here?
