i did contact support, they had me download and install v24, to get that to work, it didnt work so i called back and spoke with cody today, and i guess you only get syntax highlighting if i pay more money, which im not to happy about. so i am looking into other editing solutions,
How much more ?
Your fancy colors come with level 2 or 3 Preditor.
They look cool at first, but got annoying after a few years.
IMO,,a better reason to upgrade to level 2 is so you get g code backplotter. That will save your A**,and is a most valuable tool.and of course you will get your colors too.FWIW,my colors are turned off.You know the Edit/search feature works great ?
I turned off the syntax highlighting after a brief try with them many years ago. No particular reason other than that it annoys me too! I can't even explain why which is why I found your comment funny jrmach, lol.
I also agree with the thought that there are much better reasons for upgrading Predator.
I doubt you need syntax highlighting only but just for reference Notepad ++ does the job and also has a lot of other features handy for code editing. Of course there is no DNC. Notepad++ Home
its not really a big deal, and we dont dnc from predator anyway, older machines have dnc boxes right at the machines, or the newer ones can just load files from the network via ethernet, i was just trying to show the old guy who programs by hand, how that worked
I like syntax highlighting........it's far easier to see what's what when scrolling through the code. Red for Z, Green for Feed etc etc
