    Plasma Table Build

I have been building a table for a little while now and am to the point that I was worried about. I have the table build, gantry rolling x/y/z using the CNC software but am stumped with interfacing the Longevity ForceCut42i/Proma/G540/Mach together. If anyone has any insight to do this it would be greatly appreciated. I will be posting pictures soon to detail the build itself but I do not have any pictures of it yet (I know I know....). I look forward to hearing back with any help that anyone is willing to offer.

    Re: Plasma Table Build

This may be a better description of the issues I am having. I am planning on using my 42i as a cutter and it running along side a G540, Proma THC and Mach 3. I have the CNC plug that goes into the front of the machine and plan on using it. The wiring/soldering do not scare me but my concerns fall with what goes where after the plug is built. I understand how to wire up the divider from pins 6,7 to the Proma as well as running it to the G540 but I am a little unclear on setting up Mach 3 to understand what the Proma is telling it. I am also unclear as where to pins 8,9 go and 13,14. I know I need a relay (not sure which one) but I do not know what pins to run to it and what pins to run to the G540. I have a 48vdc 5amp relay (golf cart charger kind) but do not know if it would be appropriate/ok to use or not. I also don't think I need two but the drawing below shows two. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the last thing holding me back from having my machine up and running so I can cut racing parts for my RZR. Re: Plasma Table Build

I have not measured for backlash yet but everything is coming out with great tolerances as far as I am concerned. It is a pretty good design I feel and having the carriages spring loaded really helps. I drew the carriages in ACAD and had them cut by a contractor at work. They are good but I have plans on updating/grading them and cutting new ones out. This table is not really set up for routing but I wanted a separate table for that and it has been great so far. I have cut out some signage, a scorpion and knives. I will try to put together an actual build page in the near future and I put together a nice little expense spreadsheet. I was surprised by the amount of money I actually spent building the table. I was sure I could get it done around the $1k-$1,500 mark but I was about double that. Let me know what all you are wanting to see and when I get around to measuring backlash (figuring out how to) I will refer back with my findings.
