    http://www.cnczone.com/forums/cincin...t-failure.html

    Re: Once per pocket error

If you take some tools out of the tool holder disk, swing the disk to the spindle and look inside the disk at the far left, you should see a red light on a prox switch flash on and off as you rotate the disk. This is the once per tool switch. It should be on at each tool pocket and off in between pockets. It may need to be adjusted in a very little bit. If you turn it in to much it will be sheared off, so go slow. The switch may have gone bad and needs to be replaced.

I moved it in 1/2 a turn and have done at least 30 tool changes with no errors looks great so far.

You might want to get a backup switch because your switch may be going bad.

What is cracking, the cable or the switch??? Look in the electrical prints, it is a common prox switch. I think it is a 24VDC switch. You can measure the depth of the back of the switch ( to get it back to the same position) and remove it to look for the OEM part# or sticker.

When I turned the sensor in 1/2 a turn I noticed the cable is cracking. I can run the machine about 4 hours then errors start coming

I would replace the switch and the cable. It should be a screw on cable. What did you end up doing??

I was reading my manual and found notes about tool change relays CR29 CR30 (Schrack# RTE24024 cost around $3.00) the previous owner must of had issues with these two so I replaced them and so far no problem.

    Re: Once per pocket error

It turns out always to be a bad prox switch, cable or it needs to be adjusted in. Let us know if it continues to be trouble free. I have FIVES number at 1-800-934-0735. Thanks,

    Re: Once per pocket error

By the way, if you under clock the real-time board the sensor adjustment of the once per pocket circuit becomes twice as critical.
