Good day, this is my first post here and I am desperately looking for needed help. I've joined my family hardware business since a while now. I am looking to use my dad's machine. Here we go with picture



It was not working but I've tried and made it work, when we move the wheel it goes down and up like that. Two questions please, how can we make a die for small hardware products? How much should it cost? and What type of parts can I make with this? Would it be a good idea to make this automatic? Can I do that? Too many questions.... oh and my name is Adnan, btw. Sorry, I was really excited to share this with you. I am totally new to this thing. I've been in to computers all my life, SEO, programming and technical stuff, you name it!

I don't have much knowledge but am enthusiastic to make things work. Thank you. Please if you can help me with this a bit.

With that press production parts will be very small.
A larger museum comes to mind.

And just came to know, its a flypress also known as screw-press. Though I have no idea about die making, where should I start and how much would it cost. To start with, I want to produce very small parts. It's a new field for me, we run a hardware store. We would like to manufacture our own items, simple small items BUT make them dirt cheap to cope up with the competition.

I know this sounds too beginner type but any help would be great. Thanks.

Well just the trade of a tool & Die maker is a 5yr apprenticeship!
The art of tool and die making is no mean feat.
It depends on what you intend to manuf?
Also looks like the press could stand a complete strip down and re-furbish.
