New and looking to buy a machine

New to anything laser and looking for a decent machine to improve my side business/hobby, I really want to buy anything i get cash without any sort of loan so that limits my price range. Over the past year i looked at cnc routers and 3D printers and right now laser seems to be my best bet for what i want to so and that is cut acrylic up to 3/4" engrave wood and cut it. So far i have looked around and i found something i really like but being new to the hobby i like to see what the internet thinks about it:

    https://www.bosslaser.com/co2-laser-...hp-2436-detail

I like the idea of being about to cut thin metal in the future and i like the large bed size, also talking to the guy it seems to be more capable that that i need it for which allows me to always do more if i choose to.

With that being said, is this a good company? are there other lasers in the same range of ability for less in cost?

    thanks

    Aaron,

Try checking out Laser Depot USA. I just got an email that their lasers are 20% and they also have a best price guarantee. It appears they have Gweike, Goldensign and other lasers to choose from.

Aaron, I can't talk about the other lasers, but I did just purchase a Boss Laser (1630) cutter. It should be delivered in about two more weeks.

I was in Florida and went by their warehouse / offices. They took about 1 1/2 hours to demo the laser cutters and the software.

There was no pressure from the staff.

The machines are solid, 400 pounds. The wire and components are well made. The laser tube are tested for power and beam shape.

Best of all they answer the phone when I call them.

Hello aaron, this is Nolan from ThunderLaser, hope my suggestion can help you.
    1. if you need to cut 3/4" acrylic, 100 watt laser tube can meet your requirement, but it is still hard to cut 3/4" wood.
    2. order the machine in your local area is very convenient for you, you can call and ask them solve your problem directly, but maybe they also charge you more fee.
if you never use the laser cutter machine before, you can visit our website, you can find many videos.
